The Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce currently has four active committees and one under development. Committees serve an important role as this is where plans are discussed and decisions are made.
Members are encouraged to participate in committees as this provides member representation and participation in Chamber decisions. Any member, in good standing, can participate in the active committees.
Marketing Committee
- Purpose: To discuss, plan and make decisions about the advertising, marketing and public relations activities of the Chamber within the board approved budget.
- Committee Members: Chamber Director, selected Chamber staff, one or more board members and Chamber members
- Meets: Monthly on the third Tuesday, 8:30am to 9:30am at the Chamber
Membership Committee & Ambassadors
- Purpose: To discuss, plan and make decisions related to attracting and retaining Chamber members within the board approved budget. Ambassadors are not required to attend committee meetings but are encouraged to do so. The primary role of the Ambassadors is welcoming new businesses and new members.
- Committee Members: Selected Chamber staff, one or more board members and Chamber members
- Meets: Monthly on the first Wednesday, 10am to 11am at the Chamber
Special Events Committee
- Purpose: To discuss, plan and make decisions about the Black & White Ball and/or other special event as deemed by the board or Director within the board approved budget.
- Committee Members: Selected Chamber staff, one or more board members and Chamber members
- Meets: As necessary
Volunteer Committee
- Purpose: To discuss, plan and make decisions related to attracting, training and retaining Chamber volunteers within the board approved budget. Volunteers are encouraged to participate
- Committee Members: Selected Chamber staff, one or more board members, Chamber members and volunteers
- Meets: Monthly on the last Tuesday, 9am to 10am at the Chamber
Economic Development Committee
- This committee is under development.
