Nestled at the foot of the Cascades, Sisters is a town right out of the Old West, complete with 1880's turn-of-the-century storefronts and an authentic annual rodeo. Elevation: The elevation of Sisters is 3180 feet. The population of the City of Sisters is 1706, and the population within the school district boundaries is approximately 15,000. Sisters is located in western Deschutes County.
Climate: Sisters has four distinct seasons. We average 14 inches of annual precipitation (mostly in the form of snow in the winter). The air is dry and nights are typically cool. Summer temperatures average 84 degrees during the day and 41 degrees at night, while winter temperatures average 41 degrees during the day and 21 degrees at night.
Getting here: Sisters is located on the east side of the Cascade Mountains in Central Oregon, 136 miles southeast of Portland. Sisters is just 20 miles west of both Bend, Oregon and Redmond, Oregon.
Closest Airport: Located in Redmond, Roberts Field is an easy 20 mile drive to the east. Four carriers serve the Redmond Airport. They are Horizon Air (1-800-547-9308,) United & United Express (1-800-241-6522 or 541-923-5625,) Delta Airlines (1-800-221-1212) and Allegiant Air (702-505-8888). Flights depart daily to Los Angeles (LAX), Portland International (PDX), Seattle International (SEA), San Francisco International (SFO), and Salt Lake City (SLC) and flights two days a week to Las Vegas. Delta, United and United Express flights are operated by SkyWest Airlines.

Sun Ranch Business Park is a new light industrial project located at Camp Polk Road and Barclay Drive, across from the Sisters Airport.
